Anthony Robbins said,

Before you figure out how to do something, find out why you want to do it.

I’ll do better tomorrow.

Let’s say you want to read for half an hour every day. You set the clock to get started the next morning.

When it goes off, you hit the snooze button.

Why? You feel sleepy. You tell yourself you’ll start tomorrow. You brush it off and wake up at your normal time.

Guilt changes everything.

Later, guilt hits you. You failed at such a little thing. How can you expect tomorrow will be different?

It won’t unless you find out why you’ll do better.

When you set a goal, ask yourself why you want it. What benefits will you enjoy? What will you lose if you don’t start now? Where will you be in a year if you put this off?

Answer these questions as honestly as you can. Dig until you run out of dirt. The emotional answers give you leverage you can use to keep you on track. Loss scares us!

Use that fear to push yourself to achieve…
