Blogging is a great way to learn what people want. You don’t just learn from successes; you learn from the flops, too. They tell you that while your answer may be great, people aren’t looking for that.

Another way is guest posting on a big blog in your niche. Engage your readers in conversation there. You’ll learn things you’ll never learn any other way.

You can also ask and answer questions on Quora, along with reading the material that is already there.
