If you want to know how good your writing is, you need to hear it.

Your eyes will deceive you.

Isn’t it enough to just read over your text and move on? I mean, this is just a blog post, for crying out loud.

Did you see anything unusual?

If not, you missed the second A in front of “mystery”. This is because of selective avoidance. When we see information that doesn’t fit our expectations, we ignore it.

When you read your words out loud, you hear them all. And here is a better idea. Get an AI reader to read your text to you. If you draft your post in Google Docs and you have an iPhone, you can swipe the screen and Siri will read your text.

What’s even more amazing is Siri sounds almost human.
