No Matter What Happens
Life goes on, and so will you

As I write this, we still don’t know who our next President will be.
Elections are seasons that feel like they last forever, but they don’t. They can be a time of high emotions for some, and a time of apathy for others.
No matter how you feel, one thing is clear.
You get one vote.
And once it’s cast, you can’t do anything about it.
Life goes on. The clock keeps ticking. You still have to go to work and do all the stuff you did before the election.
Politicians make big promises to get your vote. But ultimately the quality of your life is your choice, and your responsibility.
How will you move on, no matter what?
How will you seize the opportunity before you and not ignore it because you’re too swept away in something else?

First, focus on today. It’s all you’ve got. Yesterday’s gone. Tomorrow is forever in the future. What will you do today? Now? This moment? It’s those decisions that affect tomorrow the most.
Get a picture of what you want tomorrow to look like. Be as vivid and detailed as you can. Then work backwards and set a goal to get you there.
It’s no different than taking out a map, picking a destination and following the roads from there to where you are now. They’ll always go from Point A to Point B. You choose the direction and the points.
Don’t worry if you haven’t seen the road before. Trust the map. And if it’s a little off, just keep your destination plugged in. Your GPS will self-correct as long as you have a specific endpoint for your journey.
Life will go on, no matter what. Will you plot your course or let others draw your map? Use your power wisely today and tomorrow your plans will be your reality.
