You’ve alluded to a point that all writers need to consider if they want to be successful.
The best rules to follow are those that make your writing effective.
We have to know our audiences and how they communicate if we want them to read. We have to know their hopes, their fears, and the problems they want to solve. Or maybe they just want to be entertained.
When you know what your audience wants, and you deliver it, you plant the seeds of lasting connection.
We learn grammar so we can be clear and paint vivid word pictures. We use emotions to reach the heart.
Great post, Tom!
